About Me

My name is Viktoria aka Svikki. I am a locum (traveling) Family Physician, an avid wanderer, and a solo-mother by choice to two kiddos.

In a nutshell,

  • I was born in Germany,
  • immigrated to Wisconsin when I was a toddler,
  • spent most of my childhood growing up in a small rural Wisconsin town,
  • spent 4th and 6th grade with my grandparents in Germany,
  • lived in Milan for a few months as a model during High Schoool,
  • left High School early to attend UW Madison for 1.5 years,
  • moved to Germany for medical school,
  • took a year off after graduation to move to Miami to work as a bottle waitress and saved money to travel the world,
  • completed my Family Medicine Residency in Ohio,
  • started my life as a traveling doctor (aka Locum physician),
  • became a solo-mother by choice via sperm donor use and now have two children whom I travel the world with.

Ok, I admit, that was a big nutshell, but it covered the big chapters of my life so far. This blog will give you insight into my past, my passions, my thoughts and will accompany my non-linear life as it unfolds.

There’s a million things I haven’t done
but just you wait.
